How to check the ad in front of you
Every ad is bought through an advertiser account, and the platform will show you that account's ID.
- On a Google search ad, open the three-dot menu and choose About this advertiser. On Meta, open the Page and check the Ad Library.
- Copy the advertiser ID it shows you.
- Check that ID against the accounts this brand has authorized.
If it is one of them, the ad comes from an account this brand says is its own. If it is not, or you cannot find an ID at all, do not click the ad: reach the company by typing its address into your browser yourself.

Anything not listed here
This brand's policy is open: the record is a positive assertion only. An account that is absent is unknown, not unauthorized: it simply hasn't been verified either way. Open is the only policy permitted for records asserted on a brand's behalf; the brand itself can move to a stronger policy by verifying and publishing its own file.
